Bayswater Bowling and Recreation Club is licensed as a Private Club and Membership is required for;

* entry into the Club,

* use of our facilities,

* and service of drinks.

Club Membership is a legal requirement under the Liquor Licensing Act for our club license.

Our Fees are payable as follows and are due on the 1st June every year, regardless of when you first sign up (ie: no pro rata):

  • Full Membership – $88*
  • Honorary Life Member (Active) – $0
  • Restricted Member – $55*
  • Social Member – $12*
  • Junior Member (Ages 12-18) – $15*
Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a BBRC member to attend the Club?

YES – A current membership is required to use the facilities at our club and for drinks service at our bar.

Members can bring up to five guests with them.

How can I become a member?

Our membership year runs 1 June – 31 May and is not pro-rata.

I’m not a BBRC member, can I call in to the Club to view your amenities?

YES – But please call ahead on 9271 4515, as we may have an event in progress.

If I book an event, do my guests need to be members?

YES – One in six adult guests will need to be registered as BBRC members unless you are running a bar tab, then only you need to be a member.

For instance: a 30-person party requires one (social, restricted, or full) member, and four more members, for a total of five.

If there are not enough members among your guests, we have introduced a ‘day membership’ for this purpose. Simply provide guest names to the bar on the day of the event, and pay the day membership fee of $2/per person.

For ease of organisation or for large parties, we may also include these day memberships in your booking fee.

Full Member

Persons of or above the age of 18 years entitled to exercise the full privileges of the Club.  A full member shall not become an employee of the Club unless by a proper arrangement sanctioned at a meeting of Management Committee and reviewed as necessary.

Honorary Life Member

Any member recommended by the Management Committee to a General Meeting of the Club and elected at such meeting to be an Honorary Life member for long and conspicuous service to the Club and shall enjoy all privileges of a Full Member. Honorary Life Members shall not exceed 10 living members at one time and not more than two shall be elected in one year.  Any Life Member considered active as under the definition of Bowls WA will pay the tabled fee only.

Restricted Member

A Member that is fully financial with voting rights, but does not play in any Association game or Club Championships. They also have access to play social bowls on the greens when not in use.

Social Member

Persons of or above the age of 18 years (including all affiliated clubs) who may enjoy the privileges of the Club but shall not be eligible:

  1. to stand for any office in the Club or vote in any ballot or at a General Meeting of the Club.
  2. to propose or second any application for membership of the Club.
  3. to use the greens except at a specific invitation of a Club Committee Member.

Junior Member

Persons of not less than 12 years of age and under 18 years, who may enjoy  all the privileges of the Club but shall not be eligible:

  1. to stand for any office in the Club or vote in any ballot or at a General Meeting of the Club.
  2. to propose or second any application for membership of the Club.
  3. to invite guests into the Club.

Temporary Members

A person who on any day is visiting the Club as a member or an official of, or a person assisting a team that is to contest a pre-arranged event in that sport on that day; or at the invitation of a member to engage in that sport on that day; may be taken to be a person who is afforded temporary membership on that day.
