First established as a Bowls Club in 1935 and then progressing to a Bowls and Recreation Club in 1995. Located just six kilometres from the city of Perth, the Club offers a range of memberships and amenities.
During the 1950s and up until the early 1970s we had more than 300 x members with eight divisions of men bowlers and five divisions of women bowlers. Today we have over 500 members and the Club comprises four to five divisions of dedicated and loyal bowlers.
The Bayswater Bowling and Recreation Club currently has one pristine grass green and one astro turf green, used for night pennants and social bowling.
In 2015, we welcomed the Street Roller Hockey League (SRHL – http://streetrollerhockeyleague.com.au/) who has now made the Club their home. The SRHL comprises approximately 100 teams and they can often be seen playing on “the slab” from the verandah.
We have a large following on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/TheBBRC/ and Instagram https://www.instagram.com/bayswaterbowlingandrecclub/ with regular updates letting everyone know what’s happening around the Club.
The Club is a vibrant hub for our whole community to gather in a relaxed family friendly environment that provides the perfect place to catch up with friends, old and new.
Baywater Bowling and Recreation Club was announced as the Winners of the 2019/20 Bowls WA Small Metropolitan Club of the Year.
