*Please note: BBRC does not host 18th Birthday parties.

The outside area has shade, seating and a playground area.

Please note: A maximum of 2 small *party bookings can be booked on Saturday and Sunday afternoon during opening hours and all areas will be shared zones.

*There is a Party Fee payable during opening hours – small parties only.

We have a beautiful, spacious hall, including a commercial grade kitchen for you or your caterer to hire.

A projector and large drop down screen is available along with a Microphone, television screens and a great sound system.

How do I enquire about a function, venue hire, or social bowls?

Can I hold a birthday party at BBRC?

Yes. Booking are essential. Members can reserve our facilities, starting from $99.

Can I book my work event at BBRC?

Yes, so long as at least one of the group attending is a member.

If I book an event, do my guests need to be members?

Yes, one in six adult guests will need to be registered as BBRC members.

For instance: a 30-person party requires 1 (social, restricted, or full) member, and 4 more members, for a total of 5.

If there are not enough members among your guests, we have introduced a ‘day membership’ for this purpose. Simply provide guest names to the bar on the day of the event, and pay the day membership fee of $2/per person.

For ease of organisation or for large parties, we may also include these day memberships in your booking fee.

Can I run a bar tab for my event?

YES – Members can run a tab for their event, subject to conditions:

  • On the day of your booking, a current valid WA Drivers Licence or similar photo ID must be provided to the Bar Manager prior to any drinks being served.
  • The bar tab must be paid in full at the conclusion of your function and prior to leaving
  • If we are open to the public during your event, please identify your bar tab guests with a wrist band or drink token
  • Last drinks will be called 30 minutes prior to the end of your booking time
  • As some eftpos/credit cards do have a $ limit, we may request the pre-payment of 50% of drinks prior to the day of your function.
  • Corporate bookings require one social membership to be held by a manager or the authorised company card holder.

What payment methods are accepted for event/venue hire bookings?

Event bookings must be paid for by bank transfer. The details will be shown on your booking form.

What are the music, entertainment, or presentation options for my event?

Past groups have hired bands, DJs, or provided DIY music via a phone jack. For trivia nights and presentations, a basic speaker, microphone, screen and projector setup is available. Please indicate your needs on the enquiry form for accurate pricing.

For any option it’s important to remember:

  • The Club is in a residential area, and night time noise limits and close down time apply
  • Bands and DJs need to have their own ‘plug and play’ set up, as we don’t provide audio equipment of this kind
  • We strongly recommend you visit the Club to check that your laptop, phone etc. is compatible with our set up. In particular, Apple laptops have proven difficult to use with our system and BYO cables are a necessity.

Are there any events you won’t host?

The Club does not take bookings for 18th birthday parties.

The Club takes bookings for 21st birthday parties at the manager’s sole discretion. Any booking for a 21st birthday party requires the party giver to hire at least 1 private security person.

What if the weather is bad and my event is outside?

Bookings for our ‘shade sails’ area will be moved to our under cover verandah or to the main hall.

Is the Club wheelchair accessible?

At present, these areas of the Club are wheelchair accessible.

  • The verandah, bar and main hall are accessed via a ramp entry from the car park
  • The shade sails area is also wheelchair accessible
  • The Friday food truck is parked outside the Club in the car park
  • There is a unisex accessible bathroom in the bar area
  • The stage in the main hall is wheelchair accessible via a folding ramp (assembled on request)

At present, these areas are not

  • The kitchen and upstairs level in the main hall
  • The bowls greens unless in an approved bowls wheelchair

What food options are available at the Club?

Wednesdays: The Club kitchen is open and serving dinner.

Fridays: A rotating roster of food trucks are parked outside the Club and serving dinner.

You are welcome to BYO food to the Club, except on these evenings. Check our social media to see the menu each week.

Bar snacks are available including chips, nuts, and zooper doopers.

What drink options are available at the Club?

The Club is fully licensed and no outside drinks – alcoholic or non-alcoholic – are permitted. Our bar stocks a range of beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks, along with juice and water.

Can I cater for my own event/party?

YES. You may wish to book kitchen hire, BBQ hire, or organise catering for your booked event. You’ll need to supply your own equipment for food preparation and service, as BBRC does not have equipment for hire.

Can my school or community group hire your Club?

Yes! Many groups hire our Club for their AGM, parties, fundraisers, or workshops. Day and evening hire are both available.

Can my business hold a kitchen takeover at your Club?

Additional requirements may apply, including from council, RGL, and insurance.

Are kids welcome at BBRC?

Yes! We have a dedicated ‘nature play’ area for kids, and they are also welcome to skate/blade/basketball on our concrete sports rink when it’s not in use.

Is there anywhere children aren’t permitted?

Yes, and these areas are sign posted. Most importantly:

  • Children are not permitted in the bar area without direct supervision. The bar does not serve children.
  • Children are not permitted on the bowls green.
  • Children may be permitted to take part in social bowls, under direct adult supervision. To protect our greens, participation in social bowls is at the sole discretion of the manager on the day.

Does the Club provide supervision/child care?

  1. Parental supervision is the only supervision when you visit our Club with children.

Can my school, kindergarten, sports club, or play group use Club facilities?

Anything else I should know?

BBRC does not permit the use of single use plastics. Please ensure your serving ware, crockery, etc. are compostable or washable.
